About this role
Based in Bangalore, India, this role at Advanced Micro Devices focuses on planning, building, and executing the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, with the goal of delivering a final design free of bugs.

Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand the features to be verified

Build test plan documentation that accounts for interactions with other features, hardware, firmware, and software driver use cases

Estimate the time required to write new feature tests and any needed changes to the test environment

Develop directed and random verification tests

Debug test failures to determine root causes; work with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design defects and correct test issues

Review functional and code coverage metrics; modify or add tests or constrain random tests to meet coverage requirements

Proficient in IP-level ASIC verification

Skilled at debugging firmware and RTL code using simulation tools

Experienced with UVM testbenches and working in Linux and Windows environments

Proficient in Verilog, SystemVerilog, C, and C++

Knowledge of graphics pipelines

Experience developing UVM-based verification frameworks, testbenches, processes, and flows

Ability to automate workflows in a distributed compute environment

Familiar with simulation profiles, efficiency improvement, acceleration, and HLS tools/process

Strong C++ background, preferably on Linux with Windows exposure

Good understanding of UVM concepts and SystemVerilog

Working knowledge of SystemC and TLM with related experience

Scripting experience: Perl, Ruby, Makefiles, shell

Leadership or mentorship experience is a plus

Desirable exposure to video codec systems or other multimedia solutions

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
