Job Summary
The Jr. Logistics Officer is responsible for supporting logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory tracking. This role assists in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials under close supervision. This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyse problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities.
- Support inventory tracking and warehouse documentation.
- Help monitor transportation schedules and delivery performance.
- Maintain logistics records and update systems accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and logistics procedures.
- Skills & Qualifications
- Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills) are minimally required to carry out the role.
Additional qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Excel.
