About the Role This MRI Technologist position utilizes noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to capture diagnostic images used to diagnose, evaluate, and treat a variety of medical issues. Logan Health’s diagnostic imaging team emphasizes quality, compassionate care and innovation in a beautiful Montana setting.

What You'll Do

  • Accurately perform beginning and end of day duties as defined in department procedures and as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Stock assigned areas and assist with supply outdates.
  • Exhibit proper radiation and/or magnet safety as appropriate to the assigned area(s).
  • Accurately report all malfunctioning equipment and/or errors per department protocol; document safety-related issues and outcomes.
  • Obtain patient history, reason for procedure, and other exam-related information; evaluate information to ensure appropriate scan and proper diagnosis; communicate questions or concerns per department protocol.
  • Prepare patients for exams; exhibit proper venipuncture techniques and I-stat competencies.
  • Provide patients with follow-up exam information and post-exam procedures.
  • Review orders, prior exams, labs and patient history per department standards; accurately complete documentation related to exams.
  • Drive as needed to service locations in a safe and timely manner per procedure and protocol.
  • The above essential functions are representative of major duties; duties may vary by department and other duties may be assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered as Radiologic Technologist (RT)(MR) by ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter with critical thinking, able to set priorities and work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
  • ARRT-certified Technologist requirements: Registered in Magnetic Resonance (MR) by ARRT or must successfully obtain Magnetic Resonance (MR) by ARRT within eighteen (18) months of hire. Montana State Radiologic Technologist License as required by law.
  • ARMRIT-certified Technologist requirements: Certified through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and provide proof of certification upon hire; must maintain ARMRIT certification.
  • Driver’s license required for the driving portion; driving record for the previous 36 months must not reflect major offenses; state minimum liability coverage required.
