Job title: MRI Tech-PRN
About the Role The MRI Technologist reports to the Radiologist and Imaging Services Supervisor. The role performs a variety of radiologic procedures, including routine and specialized MRI procedures, within the Imaging Services Department's standard procedures. This position may have on-call responsibilities during evenings/nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
What You'll Do
- Perform MRI and radiologic procedures according to patient orders and Radiologist direction.
- Prepare and maintain routine department records and reports; assist with quality assessment/improvement plans for MRI services.
- Identify and resolve equipment, patient, supply, and billing issues; assist with exam scheduling and patient transport.
- Monitor and improve the quality of MRI procedures and staff performance; coordinate with Team Leader on Performance Improvement projects.
- Support budget-related reviews for MRI needs; maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT certification; valid Iowa permit to practice.
- One year MRI experience or ARRT certified in radiology with at least one year of cross-training at Broadlawns Medical Center.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills; experience with computer applications.
Nice to Have
- Two years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital environment (preferred).
- Bilingual.
