Job title: MOW Tech/CDL Equipment Operator
About the Role Based in Sanford, FL, the MOW Tech/CDL Equipment Operator supports heavy construction and maintenance of way on track infrastructure. You will operate track equipment to install ties and rails and perform maintenance and safety checks to ensure safe, efficient operation.
What You'll Do
- Operates track equipment to install ties/rail and maintains safe, efficient operation per regulations and procedures.
- Installs equipment or attachments on machinery or related structures.
- Performs equipment safety, maintenance checks and routine repairs; makes emergency adjustments as necessary.
- Signals directions or warnings to coworkers; coordinates machine actions with other activities and loads based on crew signals.
- Takes actions to avoid hazards such as utility lines, other equipment, workers, and falling objects.
- Keeps records of material and equipment usage and problems encountered.
- Pushes other equipment for extra traction or assistance when required.
- Performs other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum three years experience with track equipment in a rail environment.
- Valid driver's license; possession of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor and continuous strenuous work.
- Ability to read and comprehend regulations/instructions; strong verbal communication.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships; effectively handle conflicts.
- Preferred: experience operating track equipment; 1 year Railroad Maintenance of Way experience; Roadway Worker Protection qualification; heavy equipment operator experience.

- Experience operating track equipment.
