About the Role Scotiabank is seeking a Mortgage Specialist to join a purpose-driven, high-performing team serving clients in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. This mobile, client-focused role leverages banking expertise to provide expert mortgage advice, build strong relationships, and drive mortgage sales within a commission-based environment. What You'll Do
- Build lasting relationships with clients, referral partners, and community stakeholders to generate mortgage opportunities and referrals.
- Provide tailored mortgage advice aligned with clients' financial goals and objectives; leverage your banking expertise and strong communication to deliver transparent, honest guidance.
- Prioritize client experience by understanding client needs and ensuring a seamless mortgage application process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, to facilitate timely mortgage approvals and closings while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Remain mobile to be accessible and accommodate clients’ preferences.
- Stay informed about market trends, mortgage products, and industry regulations to provide informed advice and maintain a competitive edge. What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of proven success in the mortgage industry or a related field.
- Strong commitment to trust development, client experience, and delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
