About the Role Responsible for the sales and marketing of Truist Mortgage Loan products within bank policies and procedures, and for generating referrals of mortgage clients to other bank services. The role focuses on developing mortgage business, advising clients on Truist Mortgage products, and collaborating with Mortgage Loan Fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely processing.
What You'll Do
- Execute effective mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed mortgage production goals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Mortgage Strategies, Policies and Procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines used by Truist.
- Adhere to Truist policies and procedures in line with internal/external rules and regulations, including applicable state and federal law.
- Provide sound mortgage advice based on client needs and product benefits.
- Consistently execute on Truist's referral process by introducing mortgage clients to other bank solutions.
- Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up as determined through quality control or post-closing review.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year experience in banking and/or lending with basic knowledge of residential property types.
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; solid interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications; ability to work with technology and data.
- Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment and pass applicable NMLS background checks.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related studies or equivalent financial sales experience.
- Two or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending with knowledge of local market and regulations.
- Previous sales awards and leadership positions.
