Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Position Summary
Responsible for operating and maintaining injection, compression, and transfer molding equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supports manufacturing operations through equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, mold maintenance, quality documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate molding machines and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and corrective actions on molding processes and tooling.
- Maintain molds, hot runner systems, and related components.
- Complete preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
- Accurately document production, downtime, material usage, and quality data.
- Utilize manufacturing systems and computer software for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Receive, store, pack, and move raw materials and finished goods.
- Support quality initiatives and collaborate with Quality Control personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with training new employees as directed.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of plastics manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of molding processes and principles.
Skills

Ability to read micrometers and other measuring devices.

Basic knowledge of inspection tools and quality procedures.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow written instructions.

Basic computer proficiency.

Good math skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.

Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.

Regular exposure to manufacturing conditions, including:
