The Molding Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials to all molding production areas. This role supports manufacturing operations by monitoring material consumption, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating material movement, and ensuring molding machines have the required resin, colorants, and supporting materials available throughout the shift. The Molding Material Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives within the molding department.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities

Consistently demonstrates safety first mindset; follows all safety related processes and procedures, quickly escalates safety related concerns or issues to create a safe work environment for all employees.
Ensure molding machines are stocked with the appropriate materials required to maintain production schedules.
Review daily production schedules and coordinate material requirements for current and upcoming shifts.
Transport raw materials, resin, colorants, and packaging supplies to designated production areas.
Load dryers according to established material specifications and drying requirements.
Monitor dryer performance and material readiness to support production demand.
Empty, clean, and prepare dryers during material changeovers to prevent contamination.
Conduct routine material level audits and replenish materials as needed throughout the molding facility.
Maintain accurate inventory records through physical counts and inventory transactions.
Perform cycle counts and physical inventories of resins, colorants, and related molding materials.
Support material traceability requirements and ensure proper labeling and identification of all materials.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Coordinate with Process Technicians, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders to ensure material availability and resolve shortages.
Follow First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices and established material handling procedures.
Support production changeovers by staging materials and removing obsolete materials from work areas.
Maintain organized storage areas and support 5S initiatives within the molding department.
Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies, material quality concerns, or supply risks.
Assist with training and cross-functional support for other indirect labor positions as needed.
Maintain work area, including but not limited to, mold storage, secondary equipment storage and mold crib, per 6s facility standards without direction.
Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and operational policies.
Proactively work with team members to meet the needs of the production floor.
Ability to work overtime with advanced or little notice.
All other duties as assigned.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

High School Diploma or GED
1 year of molding experience
Forklift certification (TTI will train)
Extreme attention to detail
Experience with excel/reading schedules
Exposure to Kanban and 5s concepts
Previous experience as material handler
Safety conscious
Speed, Agility & Urgency- Quickly respond to changing priorities, production demands, and equipment issues to support scheduled production requirements while maintaining multiple tasks simultaneously with safety and quality standards.

Working Conditions:

The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 35 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Prolonged standing and/or walking for up to 12 hours per shift
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
Frequent bending, crouching, twisting, reaching
Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet using lifts, such as man-ups, to access inventory
Employees are required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as intended
