Job title: Mobile Equipment Maintenance Lead
About the Role Lead and supervise the mechanical & electrical Maintenance activities of Sokhna plant Quarry Mobile Equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to Lafarge H&S rules and wear proper safety equipment at all times; ensure team members operate safely and follow annual H&S objectives.
- Clarify safety rules to team members and ensure proper practices.
- Implement Lafarge Safety Standards and integrate safety into all maintenance operations.
- Ensure electrical and mechanical repairs of mobile equipment are performed properly in compliance with company policies and manufacturer standards.
- Provide technical assistance for technicians in complex technical problems.
- Manage equipment repairs and report results to the responsible operations or maintenance departments.
- Investigate root causes of failures and take actions to prevent recurrence.
- Investigate and report significant major deviations from normal operating processes (operator misuse and road breakdowns).
- Inspect and monitor work areas, test tools and equipment to ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions.
- Perform and discuss SWIs (Safe Work Instructions) & risk assessments with the maintenance team.
- Evaluate and track maintenance team performance and manage individual development plans and KPI reviews.
- Track the cost of each equipment by recording expenditures (maintenance, spare parts, external repairs, etc.) and report total maintenance cost for all vehicles at year end.
- Review, evaluate, coordinate and approve the work duties performed by external sub-contractors such as engine overhauls or parts reconditioning.
- Cooperate with other departments for PM activities outcomes and address technical issue complaints to plan necessary actions.
- Perform technical evaluation of parts submitted by different suppliers and recommend accepted offers.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; SAP; Caterpillar SIS; Caterpillar ET; Microsoft Office.
- Experience: 5 - 8 years in Caterpillar Mining Equipment Repair.
