About the Role Medical Laboratory Scientist performs clinical laboratory testing aiding the physician in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. The role supports patient care by ensuring accurate and timely lab results.
What You'll Do
- Perform clinical laboratory testing to aid detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and computer systems as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision while ensuring safety and quality guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science; copy of degree or transcript required upon hire.
- Met CLIA-88, CAP and Joint Commission qualification requirements.
- Working knowledge of LIS and HIS systems, automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and Pevco pneumatic system.
- Must have legible handwriting and documentation.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds; must use standard precautions.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, critical thinking, communication, and confidentiality skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $38.66 - $57.38 USD per hour, depending on experience.
