ML Engineer

About the Role As an ML Engineer at Solventum, you will build and maintain pipelines powering AI in Healthcare Information Systems, focusing on MLOps, data reliability, and production-ready deployment. You will bridge data science and software engineering to deliver secure, scalable AI services in a healthcare context. What You'll Do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML (MLflow, Git) and deploy models as scalable APIs/microservices with performance/latency targets for clinical use.
• Implement basic monitoring for model performance, data drift, and production health.
• Develop ETL data pipelines for healthcare data (FHIR, HL7) and manage feature stores to ensure training/production consistency.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate ML outputs into core healthcare applications.
• Write clean, tested Python code; participate in code reviews.
• Containerize workloads with Docker and Kubernetes; ensure security/compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST). What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Software Eng/Data Eng or related field.
• 3–5 years software or data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in ML production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; knowledge of a compiled language (Go/Java) is a plus.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Docker; familiarity with ML libraries (PyTorch or Scikit-Learn) and MLOps tools (Airflow, Prefect, BentoML, Kubeflow).
• Experience with data processing frameworks (Pandas, Spark, dbt).
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and security/compliance (HIPAA/HITRUST). Nice to Have
• Deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) or LangChain.
• Experience in regulated environments (Healthcare, Finance).
