About the Role
Renesas is seeking an experienced mixed-signal IC product definition engineer to work with the Memory Interface Architecture team to create specifications for cutting-edge integrated circuits. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, industry partners, and standards organizations to shape specifications and industry standards, as well as preparing presentations and internal documents.
What You'll Do
- Work with interdisciplinary teams and industry partners to create specifications for mixed-signal ICs.
- Review proposals from standards organizations (e.g., JEDEC) and align on Renesas's stance.
- Prepare and present Renesas positions to external audiences; develop proposals to standards organizations for new device definitions or changes to standards.
- Create and maintain internal specification documents; work with technical writers to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in JEDEC or similar standards organization meetings representing Renesas.
What We're Looking For
- Experience architecting mixed-signal designs and writing device-level or sub-system specifications.
- Fluency in ASIC design methodology (analog and digital).
- Experience in the DRAM memory industry.
- 5+ years of direct experience in ASIC/IC design/architecture.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Experience working in or with JEDEC; public speaking experience.
- Experience with Adobe FrameMaker and Visio/Illustrator.
- Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 5 years of experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 5 years of experience.
Nice to Have
- Public speaking experience (if not core requirement).
- Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Visio, and Illustrator.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $121,000 - $150,000 per year (USD).
