Midweight Quality Engineer (QE) Analyst

About the Role FX Digital is a specialist Connected TV agency focused on delivering high-quality software for streaming platforms. As a Midweight Quality Engineer (QE) Analyst you will drive automation-led testing with strong manual validation, contributing to FX Digital’s Testing as a Service (TAAS) for Connected TV and Set Top Box projects. You’ll write code in TypeScript and help shape robust test strategies and coverage across multiple client engagements. What You'll Do

• Own and drive testing activities across the full software delivery lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test strategy definition, manual testing, automated testing, and defect management.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites written in TypeScript; ensure comprehensive regression coverage and high-quality documentation (test plans, suites, and client reports).
• Deliver TAAS outcomes across multiple client projects, communicating progress, risks, and release readiness; act as a trusted quality partner in client-facing environments.
• Collaborate with QE engineers and developers to embed automation into CI/CD workflows, support lab uptime and cross-device debugging, and improve test environments.
• Challenge and improve quality standards across functional, UX, performance, and platform-specific requirements. What We're Looking For
• Strong professional experience in software testing with automation-led delivery; ability to develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites.
• Proficiency in a programming language used in automation (preferably TypeScript) and knowledge of Gherkin; solid debugging principles.
• Experience testing APIs and using relevant tooling; strong version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and issue-tracking tools (GitLab, Qase, Jira); understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and QE role in modern delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills; ability to manage priorities across concurrent projects and contribute in Agile ceremonies. Nice to Have
• Knowledge of Gherkin and behavior-driven development practices.
