Midpage: legal data layer and AI legal research; Anthropic's legal data partner; 200+ law firms (NYC, 8 people, $6.1M).
Comp: $170K-$240K + 0-0.4% equity. Location: On-site NYC. Visa: Not open to visas (US citizen / GC).
Responsibilities

Pipelines enriching case-law documents with metadata (overrules, appeals, remands)

Reliability/accuracy of hundreds of web scrapers

Optimize/evaluate core utils (citation extraction/resolution, court hierarchy)

Expose services via APIs, MCPs, websockets

Benchmark/evaluate core tasks

Requirements

2+ yrs backend technical generalist (fullstack bonus), startup experience ideal
