Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons - Mid-Level Provider

Job Duties:

• Performs comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams.
• Interprets subjective and objective data to formulate an assessment and plan.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and lab work.
• Orders, prescribes, and dispenses medications, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other devices allowed.
• Performs joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections of joints, and bursa as well as brace, cast and splint applications.
• Completes electronic preop lab orders.
• Maintains familiarity with and abides by the policies and procedures.
• Participates in appropriate clinical meetings to ensure continuum of care.
• Maintains memberships and activity within relevant professional organizations.
• Must be able to set priorities and provide direction to others that is clear, concise, and promotes efficiency.
• Regularly access internal and external resources to maintain professional knowledge base.
• Annual completion of specified competencies and in-services.
• Respects patients’ right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality and will provide a safe and supportive patient atmosphere.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or providers.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Professional certified registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant licensure required.

• Masters or better in Nursing or related field.
