Role Overview

  • We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lekki, Lagos.
  • The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems for renewable energy projects (including solar, hybrid, and embedded generation), power distribution networks, and related infrastructure.
  • This role offers the opportunity to grow technical expertise while contributing to impactful energy projects under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and specification of electrical systems for renewable energy plants, mini-grids, distribution networks, and associated infrastructure.
  • Prepare electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and technical documentation in accordance with Nigerian and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NESREA, NERC, etc.).
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical works, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the technical evaluation of equipment (transformers, switchgear, inverters, generators, protection relays, cabling, etc.).
  • Conduct or assist with system studies including load flow, short-circuit analysis, and basic protection coordination.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and support the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Contribute to technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on all sites.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge in renewable energy, power systems, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • B.Eng./HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • COREN registration is an advantage; membership of NSE or equivalent professional body is desirable.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in power systems, renewable energy (solar PV, hybrid systems), distribution networks, or related utility/infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSILENT, PVSyst, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) regulations and relevant standards is an advantage.

  • Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow.
