Job title: Microsoft Windows Server Administrator
About the Role The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office seeks a Microsoft Windows Server Administrator to support 800 Windows Servers statewide. The role focuses on maintaining identity services, virtualization, network services, and cloud integration to ensure secure and reliable server infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Support Active Directory/ADLDS, Active Directory Group Policies, DHCP/DNS, SolarWinds, VMware ESXi, Remote Access/Horizon VDI, SQL Servers, and CyberArk.
- Participate in disaster recovery tests; Windows Server patching; and support of AWS and Azure Cloud Services; manage Certificate Authority and issue internal certificates.
- Collaborate with team members and other teams; communicate effectively and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Maintain regular and predictable presence at the worksite; some remote work is allowed under hybrid arrangements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, information technology or a related field, plus one year of professional IT experience in analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, testing, defining business requirements, training and/or installing computer systems/applications or related areas.
- Substitution options include: year-for-year substitution of additional IT experience for education; a bachelor’s in any field with one year of additional IT experience; an associate degree with two to three years of related IT experience; or a master’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required education.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills; good communication; ability to collaborate on projects with team members and other teams.
- Hybrid work arrangement, up to 3 days remote; requires multifactor authentication app and high-speed home internet access.
Nice to Have
- Internships completed within the Central Office Information Technology Office; ATCSU; Data Analytics, Research and Statistics Office; or the Information Security Unit may substitute their experience for some required qualifications.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranges: Schedule A: $72,027.61 to $122,100.38; Schedule B: $72,027.61 to $115,995.38. For newly hired individuals, starting salary normally at the minimum of the range. Current Judiciary employees promoted/advanced receive a 5% increase of base salary, not to exceed the range maximum.
