About the Role Paramount's CBS Sacramento and Good Day are seeking a Meteorologist to drive weather storytelling across on-air, streaming, online, and social platforms. You will forecast weather events, produce engaging visuals, and collaborate with a team including the Chief Meteorologist to inform and entertain viewers across our market. What You'll Do
- Produce weather content and forecasts for TV, streaming, online, and social platforms.
- Create easy-to-understand visuals, maps, and graphics to communicate weather stories.
- Work with a team of meteorologists including the Chief Meteorologist and implement station strategy.
- Write and report weather-related content for newscasts as needed.
- Maintain strong social media presence to engage audiences.
- Communicate effectively and be team-focused. What We're Looking For
- On-air weather casting experience within a TV Station.
- A degree in meteorology or related field.
- Superior forecasting and severe weather skills; ability to forecast major events (wildfires, floods, blizzards).
- Ability to forecast and communicate weather across multiple microclimates.
- Experience producing graphics and visual storytelling; ability to produce maps and visuals.
- Strong communication skills and dynamic personality.
- Team-focused and collaborative.
