Job title: Metals Execution Risk – Asia (Junior/Mid-Level)

About the Role A diligent and proactive professional responsible for managing execution risk for Marex's Metals product set within the group's risk appetite and defined limits during the Asian time zone. This junior/mid-level role can work autonomously and as part of a team and covers the Sales/Brokerage function within the Metals department.

What You'll Do

• Manage internal and external metal flows across Marex order platforms and products including base, ferrous, foreign exchange and precious metals.
• Execute, book, and where necessary manually recap new trades.
• Manage Marex Spectron market risk for Metals within group risk appetite and defined risk limits while generating positive returns.
• Reconcile client and internal flows, ensuring all book positions are validated and accepted by London team on handover to London time zone.
• Collaborate with sales/broking functions across multiple time zones to originate hedging solutions for clients, focusing on expanding Metals client base in Asia.
• Ensure compliance with MAS regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to the operational risk framework and internal parameters; report breaches to Compliance or supervisor; escalate risk events immediately.
• Provide input to risk management processes as required.

What We're Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of financial futures markets and experience in a trading environment.
• Experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of risk and compliance requirements.
• Futures dealing is a must; metal business background advantageous.
• Fluency in an East Asian language (Japanese) would be advantageous.
• Ability to escalate risk events immediately.
• Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, whilst maintaining a team-first mentality and collaboration.
• Strategic collaborator with insight and agility, able to anticipate future challenges and ensure operational effectiveness.

• Metal business background advantageous.
• Fluency in Japanese or other East Asian language advantageous.
