Job Description
The Challenge
To control and supervise the Metallurgical Treatment or Recovery Plant section, in accordance with his/her level of training and qualifying in a specific Operator Category (i.e.. Scrubber/Crushing, Outside or Inside), to achieve maximum efficient throughput and to minimize delays and losses.

The ideal applicant

Grade 12 or Equivalent National Senior Certificate (20 points over 5 subjects with a E in English, Mathematics & Science)

Code 08/B Driver’s License. (Manual Transmission)

Qualified Category 3 Operator.

Experience gained through training and exposure to treatment plant processes at the Plant Operator 1-3 level.

One year plant experience as a Category 2 Operator.

Attended DebTech X-Ray machine training will be an advantage.

Process Controller (acting) will be an advantage.

Excellent safety awareness and good track record.

Permanent Namdeb Employees meeting the requirements below can be considered
- Grade 10 (24 points in 7 subjects with English, Mathematics & Science).
- Completed CAT 3 training with 1 year experience at CAT 2 level.
- Code 08 driver’s license.
- Conversant in English.
