What You'll Do
- Measure and inspect castings to verify tolerances and identify discrepancies; review tech cards and CMM reports; may prestraighten prior to dimensional checks.
- Determine the most effective method for straightening repairs on castings.
- Straighten castings using manual tools, profile templates, and power presses; preheat castings before placing in the press; round parts with power or manual tools.
