About the Role

• We are launching a new SaaS platform that helps electronics merchants sell more effectively, including enabling customers to purchase electronics through Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL).
• We are looking for a driven Merchant Acquisition / Cluster Growth Agent to help launch and grow our first electronics merchant cluster in Saka Tinubu.
• This is a hands-on field sales role. You will spend significant time visiting electronics businesses, onboarding merchants, demonstrating the platform, helping merchants complete their first transactions, and building strong relationships with them.
• The company already has relationships with a number of merchants in the cluster, so you will have warm introductions to help you get started. Your responsibility will be to turn these opportunities into active merchants and expand the merchant base further.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and onboard electronics merchants onto the platform.

• Work with existing merchant introductions provided by the company.

• Identify and approach new electronics merchants within and around the cluster.

• Demonstrate the platform and explain its benefits clearly to merchants.

• Train merchants on using the platform and processing BNPL orders.

• Follow up consistently with newly onboarded merchants to drive activation.

• Encourage merchants to process their first and subsequent BNPL orders.

• Maintain strong relationships with merchants and understand their needs.

• Track merchant acquisition, activation and transaction activity.

• Provide regular reports on sales activity, merchant feedback and challenges.

• Help identify opportunities to improve the platform and merchant experience.

• Represent the company professionally within the electronics market.

• Key Targets

• The initial launch target is to build 50 active electronics vendors in the cluster.

• The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to:

• Merchant acquisition

• Merchant activation

• BNPL transaction growth

• Repeat merchant usage

• Expansion beyond the company’s existing merchant relationships

• An active merchant is not simply a registered merchant. We are looking for merchants who are onboarded, trained and actively using the platform.

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of experience in field sales, merchant acquisition, fintech, POS, payments, e-commerce, telecoms or a related role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable approaching and speaking with business owners.
• Highly energetic, proactive and target-driven.
• Comfortable working independently in the field.
• Good understanding of smartphones, WhatsApp and basic digital platforms.
• Strong follow-up and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate a new product quickly.
• *revious experience selling to small businesses or electronics merchants is an advantage.
• You do not need to already be based in Saka Tinubu.
• We are more interested in your ability to sell, build relationships and execute than in having an existing network in the cluster.

What We Offer

• N130,000 monthly base salary
• N20,000 monthly field allowance
