Job title: Mental Health Therapist - Mental Health Unit - Part time - Weekends
About the Role The Mental Health Therapist provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention on the inpatient mental health unit. This role delivers brief therapeutic interventions in individual and family formats, develops safety plans, and collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to address behavioral health needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions on the mental health unit
- Provide brief therapeutic interventions in individual and family formats, including safety planning
- Develop and execute personalized treatment plans addressing behavioral health diagnoses and complex social needs
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team; participate in group and milieu activities as directed
- Perform mandated reporting as required and coordinate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive care
- Work independently with strong organizational skills and seek opportunities for cross-unit collaboration
What We're Looking For
- Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Licensed in Ohio (LMFT, LPC, or LSW) per relevant credentialing body
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting (preferred)
- Experience working with patients with mental health or substance use disorders is strongly desired
- Ability to work on an inpatient mental health unit and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have
- Experience working in pediatric behavioral health settings and with multidisciplinary teams
