About the Role The Mental Health Technician (MHT) III serves as a lead clinical support professional in Dayton Children's Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness, providing advanced direct care, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support to patients with complex emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral conditions. Working with a high degree of autonomy under licensed clinical staff, the MHT III helps maintain a safe, trauma-informed milieu and serves as a milieu leader. This role models advanced behavioral interventions, mentors staff, and coordinates daily shift programming for highly acute individuals in the crisis center under the delegation of licensed personnel.
