About the Role Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care is seeking part-time Mental Health Specialist III positions across multiple service lines. The roles involve joining unit teams to provide care for all age groups in accordance with facility policy and procedure, with opportunities to demonstrate leadership and collaborate with staff across inpatient and outpatient settings. What You'll Do
- Provide direct, person-centered mental health care as a member of the unit team across the listed Rutgers UBHC service lines.
- Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu and support staff nurses; assist with transports as needed in eligible roles.
- Support program operations and care coordination across Inpatient Units, Partial Hospitalization, Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services, Acute Psych/Acute Psychiatric Services, and related services.
- For Military/Veteran Peer Support Specialist III roles: provide person-centered, culturally competent, and consumer-friendly services to individuals contacting the Call Center via telephone, chat, and text. What We're Looking For
- Interest and/or experience in mental health care across age groups.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated leadership potential; ability to adapt to multiple service settings.
- Commitment to culturally competent, respectful, and consumer-centered service delivery.
- Availability for part-time, onsite work.
