About the Role Rutgers University is seeking multiple Mental Health Clinician II roles across outpatient, OCD IOP, addiction services, and correctional health care within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care and University Correctional Health Care (UCHC). The clinician serves as the senior mental health practitioner providing lead functions for assigned programs, including screening of intakes and referrals, care coordination, and ensuring program completion. What You'll Do
- Serve as lead mental health practitioner for the assigned program(s) and provide supervision/mentoring support as appropriate
- Screen intakes and referrals, coordinate care, and ensure completion of program processes
- Perform specialized psychological testing and assessments in eligible settings (e.g., correctional facilities)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with program standards
- Support program development and quality improvement initiatives across outpatient, addiction services, and correctional health care settings What We're Looking For
- Clinical experience in mental health services with strong assessment and care coordination skills
- Ability to work under direction, lead program activities, and coordinate referrals and intake processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; capacity to work in diverse settings
- Interest or experience in outpatient, OCD IOP, addiction services, or correctional health care settings as relevant to the role Nice to Have
- Experience working in correctional health care and with specialized testing
- Familiarity with utilization management or program coordination is a plus (for related roles)
