Job title: Member Service Officer I, Floater - Orange County Zone
About the Role We are hiring a Member Service Officer I, Floater for the Orange County zone. This is a flexible, transitional role that supports branch operations as a team member of the Retail Support Team, primarily based at the Anaheim Promenade branch with potential reassignment to other OC locations as needed.
What You'll Do
- Assist Members with transactions, account openings, deposits/withdrawals, and share accounts; process Debit Card requests; and verify Member information.
- Process consumer loan applications and provide general information on loan products and services; communicate loan decisions.
- Develop relationships with Members by matching needs with savings, convenience, and lending products; work toward minimum sales goals as defined.
- Support staffing needs across the designated Orange County zone (Anaheim, Brea, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Orange).
- Handle Member inquiries; perform research and correct errors on Members’ accounts; perform basic account administration transactions; have basic IRA knowledge (opening, routine contributions, closing).
- May perform any or all duties of a teller; adhere to service standards and credit union policies.
- Identify and report suspicious behavior or potential fraud; adhere to regulatory procedures to protect assets.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products to assist Members.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; 6+ months cash handling experience in retail/service; 1+ year member/customer service; valid CA driver’s license and insurance; reliable transportation; clean MVR.
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years in member/customer service; experience in financial/credit union environment; familiarity with Symitar or similar banking systems; bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Skills & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel); strong verbal/written communication; active listening; interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team; solid product knowledge and problem-solving ability.
Nice to Have
- Associate degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years in a member/customer service environment; experience in financial/credit union environment; Symitar familiarity; bilingual English/Spanish.
