Job title: MedTech Field Service Engineer
About the Role Our MedTech Field Service Engineer role offers a unique opportunity to apply technical expertise by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will perform periodic maintenance, install and update medical devices (including laboratory diagnostic units) in hospitals across the United States while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a great opportunity to advance your technical skills in the medical device industry. Please note: this is a 100% travel position with local, regional and national travel required.
What You'll Do
- Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
- Organize, test, and update medical devices; install and configure hardware, software, and network products.
- Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
- Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support quality documentation.
- Maintain credentials required by clients' customers through credentialing services such as GHX or Reptrax.
- Travel locally, regionally and nationally as required; participate in assignments with 30-40 hours per week and overtime as needed. Note: a guaranteed minimum of 24 hours per week is provided, with expected work up to 40 hours per week.
- Stay current with professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes and reviewing technical bulletins as required.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or technical school in biomedical engineering, or 3-5+ years of experience in repair, maintenance and installation of medical diagnostic equipment used in laboratory settings (in lieu of education based on experience).
- Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience.
- Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively with others.
Nice to Have
- Experience with credentialing or vendor credentialing platforms (e.g., GHX Vendormate, Reptrax) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Schedule: 30-40 hours per week with overtime as needed; guaranteed 24 hours per week.
