Medical Virtual Assistant – Insurance Specialist (Onsite)
About the Role
Snapscale is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Healthcare Virtual Assistant (HVA) to support a US-based Direct Primary Care practice with referral coordination, prior authorizations, insurance-related administrative tasks, and patient follow-ups.
Responsibilities may include:
- Manage patient referrals from initial assignment through completion
- Process and coordinate prior authorization requests
- Track open referrals and prior authorizations
- Follow up with insurance companies, referral partners, and other healthcare organizations as needed
- Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization
- Communicate with patients regarding referral and authorization status when appropriate
- Update patient records and administrative information in the EMR
- Provide additional healthcare administrative support as assigned

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Virtual Assistant, Medical Virtual Assistant, Referral Coordinator, Prior Authorization Specialist, Medical Administrative Assistant, or similar healthcare role
- Familiarity with insurance verification, referrals, prior authorizations, and healthcare administrative workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems is preferred
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and other computer-based applications
- Able to work independently while maintaining consistent productivity and accountability
- Must be willing to work onsite in Davao
