About the Role NeoGenomics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to advance scientific exchange and education around NeoGenomics’ products with academic and community oncologists and KOLs. This field-based role collaborates with the field clinical sales team to educate physicians on assay offerings and relevant data, and to train internal teams. What You'll Do
- Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with academic and community physicians, KOLs and healthcare providers; collaborate with research leaders and foundations.
- Facilitate knowledge and education of medical content (tumor boards, advisory boards, symposia) and NeoGenomics’ products to external physicians and internal teams.
- Build client engagement through phone conferences, webinars, speaker engagements, CME, and site visits including regional travel and conference presence.
- Provide updates on new publications, market intelligence and medical knowledge; participate in physician report/assay inquiries via call center; present in person or virtually within field territory.
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, marketing, client services, billing, legal, managed care); support marketing in training materials for other MSLs and clinical sales.
- Proactively participate in territory objectives to retain NGS and MRD business and capture new opportunities.
- Travel up to 50% overnight as needed; adhere to company policies. What We're Looking For
- Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, GC, hematopathology).
- 5+ years of MSL experience; strong oncology and genomic testing background.
- Deep knowledge of oncology, biomarkers, guidelines and molecular testing; NGS/MRD workflow knowledge.
- Ability to communicate and present scientific topics; educate healthcare providers and internal staff.
- Self-starter, organized, and motivated to learn; strong written and verbal communication; Excel proficiency.
- Ability to work with different personality types; comfortable asking questions to understand physician needs; regulatory knowledge a plus.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 50%); cross-functional collaboration. Nice to Have
- Regulatory knowledge is a plus; experience in cancer genomics and MRD testing is highly desirable. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $157,312 – $220,000 per year plus annual bonus.
