About this role

Job title: Medical Science Liaison

About the Role The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will drive scientific exchange and education around NeoGenomics’ products to academic and community oncologists, KOLs, and internal teams. This field-based role partners with the clinical sales team to educate physicians on NeoGenomics’ assay offerings and relevant data, while expanding scientific relationships and supporting training across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with academic and community physicians, KOLs, research leaders, and foundations
  • Facilitate knowledge and education of relevant medical and scientific content and NeoGenomics’ products to oncology audiences and internal teams
  • Develop client engagement through phone conferences, webinars, speaker engagements, Continuing Medical Education, site visits, and regional travel with a strong presence at major conferences and trade shows
  • Provide updates on new/relevant scientific publications, market intelligence, and medical/scientific knowledge
  • Participate in call center coverage for physician inquiries; present in person or virtually within assigned field territory/tumor boards
  • Collaborate with internal departments including sales, marketing, client services, accessioning, billing, legal, and managed care
  • Support marketing in developing training materials for other MSLs and clinical sales team; contribute to territory objectives
  • Proactively participate in territory objectives to retain NGS and MRD business and capture new business
  • Adhere to NeoGenomics core values, safety, compliance and company policies; travel 50% may be required

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, GC, hematopathology)
  • 5+ years of MSL experience
  • Strong understanding of oncology, biomarkers, guidelines and molecular testing; NGS/MRD workflow knowledge
  • Ability to educate and train healthcare providers and internal employees; excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter with ability to work cross-functionally; comfortable presenting data and topics
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data presentation
  • Ability to travel ~50%; regulatory knowledge a plus

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $157,312 – $220,000 plus annual bonus
