Job title: Medical Science Liaison

About the Role The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) develops ongoing professional relationships with national and regional healthcare opinion leaders and other healthcare professionals to provide medical and scientific support for Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. (DSI) initiatives in selected therapeutic areas. The MSL educates healthcare professionals, DSI internal stakeholders (e.g., Medical, Marketing, and Sales), and decision makers in healthcare systems regarding therapeutic areas and products developed and commercialized by DSI. This is a US Medical Affairs, Field based role with a territory covering WA, OR, AK, ID, MT and parts of WY.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and present disease-state and product-specific data to HCPs.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information.
  • Identify and facilitate engagement of investigators for DSI clinical research programs, investigator-initiated research proposals, Brand Speaker programs, and advisory boards.
  • Gather customer insights regarding DSI and competitor products to inform medical and commercial decision-making.
  • Attend select scientific meetings and professional conferences for continuing education and scientific exchange with key opinion leaders.
  • Develop positive working relationships with local and regional internal stakeholders to enhance DSI HCP relationships.
  • Apply appropriate methods to implement the Medical Affairs department strategy within geography in alignment with Medical and Brand strategies.
  • Complete administrative duties, including monthly expense reporting and field activity reporting.
  • Represent the MSL function by participating in DSI meetings, functions, and events.
  • Additional duties may include leading special projects, driving innovation, and assisting in the development of team members; represent FMA leadership at DSI meetings and events.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: PharmD, MD, PhD, NP or PA in a health sciences-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: MSL/Sr. MSL with 1+ year of medical & scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic or US-managed markets experience preferred; Oncology, clinical research and medical education experience preferred.
  • Seniority: Principal MSL/Associate Director MSL 5+ years of experience in medical & scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic or US managed markets; Oncology/clinical research/medical education preferred.
  • Additional qualifications: Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 60%; U.S. managed markets experience may be a plus.
  • Compensation and seniority level/title based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: USD 188,640.00 - USD 282,960.00 per year.
