About the Role Medline is seeking a Medical Sales Representative to support Physician Offices in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area. The role focuses on growing a residual-based medical supplies territory and building relationships with doctors' offices, urgent care, dermatology, community health, and women's health providers.
What You'll Do
- Grow and develop a territory of residual-based medical supplies in the assigned territory, selling disposables, exam gloves, point-of-care tests, capital, and diagnostics.
- Contact healthcare personnel including physicians, nursing staff, office managers, and purchasing staff; build relationships and customer base in alternate-site physician offices and hospital-based practices.
- Make daily calls to develop new customers; prepare and deliver quotations; develop long-term relationships; maintain a territory plan; grow residual base of customers in alternate-site marketplace.
- Train and learn new items to present to customers and explain medical and fiscal benefits.
- Travel across the territory; drive a car; interact with healthcare providers on site (up to ~90% travel).
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years quota-based sales experience with cold calling and full-cycle sales, OR 5+ years quota-based sales experience with cold calling.
- Track record of sales growth and quota attainment; ability to present multiple product lines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; stable work history; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Driving ability and willingness to travel up to 90% of days; comfortable meeting with healthcare providers on site.
Compensation & Benefits
- The anticipated compensation includes a $100,000 guarantee ($8,333/month) and will earn 100% commission and Spiffs. This position is bonus eligible, and Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
- Benefits include health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles with less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
