Job title: Medical Oncologist
About the Role Medical Oncologist/Hematologist functions as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist. The position requires Board Certification (or eligibility within the past 2 years) with an Oregon license and a commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care within the Bay Area Cancer Center.
What You'll Do
- Provide medical oncology/hematology care to patients as part of the clinical patient care team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referring physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Document patient care using EPIC and other applicable software; maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking; adapt to changing requirements.
- Maintain regular attendance and professional conduct; communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Uphold standard precautions and contribute to a safe patient care environment.
- Participate in practice-building activities and contribute to the growth of Bay Area Cancer Center.
- Experience in oncology is expected; radiation oncology experience with a strong record is a plus, or an excellent recent graduate may be considered.
What We're Looking For
- Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privilege.
- Board Certified (or eligible within past 2 years) with Oregon medical license.
- Experience practicing radiation oncology with a strong record, or an excellent recent graduate.
- Practice-building experience is a plus.
- Excellent clinical acumen, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team with a growth mindset.
- Proficiency with software interfaces (EPIC) and willingness to engage in continuous learning.
