About the role
- To provide clinical care in family medicine under supervision, assessing and managing patients across out-patient and in-patient settings, and supporting the safe and effective running of the family medicine service.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients in family medicine under supervision, appropriate to the level of the role, escalating appropriately.
- Participate in clinics, ward rounds, on-call rotas and procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and current MDCN registration/licence in line with internal clinical policy.
- Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with other services and supporting managed-care/HMO processes through evidence-based, cost-effective practice.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognised institution.
- Completion of the required national housemanship/internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, including time at Medical Officer I grade or equivalent.
Required Skills

Sound clinical knowledge relevant to family medicine and the ability to manage presentations appropriate to the role.

Sound clinical record-keeping and competent use of hospital clinical systems.
