Raphael the Archangel Catholic Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its 50-bed hospital in Olago, Edumoga, Okpokwu LGA, Benue State.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate daily laboratory activities and maintain quality assurance.
• Perform investigations across clinical chemistry, haematology, microbiology, parasitology and serology.
• Support haemoglobin electrophoresis, blood grouping and compatibility testing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory analysers, manage records and supplies, and supervise support staff.

Requirements

• BMLS or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Full MLSCN registration and a current practising licence.

• At least five years’ post-registration clinical laboratory experience.

• Practical experience with analysers, microscopy, electrophoresis and blood transfusion procedures.

• Willingness to live in Olago or nearby.

• Experience with Mindray BS-230 or BA-88A analysers, laboratory setup or staff training is an advantage.
