About the Role Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Part-Time/PRN) to perform clinical laboratory testing in the Laboratory Department. This role supports physicians in detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, requiring precision, confidentiality, and the ability to work across departments.
What You'll Do
- Perform clinical laboratory testing to aid in detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
- Use LIS and HIS computer systems and operate automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and the Pevco pneumatic system.
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to standard laboratory techniques, and observe safety precautions.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and the public; maintain confidentiality; demonstrate dependable attendance.
