About the Role Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician will help perform clinical laboratory testing to aid physicians in detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
What You'll Do
- Perform clinical laboratory testing and operate appropriate instruments and analyzers.
- Maintain knowledge of LIS/HIS systems and other software; use office equipment and telephones as needed.
- Ensure safety and confidentiality, communicate effectively interdepartmentally and with the public, and maintain/or improve quality of care.
- Demonstrate regular attendance, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and independent work with minimal supervision.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science; CLIA-88 and Oregon regulatory requirements; CAP/JCAHO standards (CAP may be more stringent).
- Working knowledge of LIS/HIS, automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and Pevco pneumatic system.
- Ability to perform clinical laboratory testing and maintain high standards of safety.
- Must have legible handwriting and strong communication skills.
- Physical ability to sit/stand/walk, lift up to 40 pounds, and use personal computer; willingness to work as part of a team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $38.66 - $57.38 per hour (USD).
