- Key responsibility is to perform chemistry test
- Using microscopes to examine body tissue samples
- Operating, troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Evaluating test results to identify potential errors
- Overseeing the work of the laboratory technicians
- Fielding questions about tests performed by healthcare providers
- Ordering, organizing and inventorying laboratory supplies
- Updating and approving patients’ medical records with test results
