About the Role Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to train frontier models on high-quality healthcare reasoning data. We're expanding our Medical Expert network to design realistic clinical scenarios, evaluate model outputs against evidence-based standards, and shape how AI reasons about patient care.
What You'll Do
- Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios drawn from your specialty (diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, risk stratification, guideline concordance).
- Write "golden" reference responses at attending-level quality.
- Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics.
- Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior.
- Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Attending Physicians: board certified with current, active, unrestricted medical license.
- Resident physicians: in final year of residency (recent graduates must be board-eligible).
- Fellows: board-certified/board-eligible in primary specialty and have current active, unrestricted medical license.
- Engagement: Remote, 100% asynchronous; 20 hrs/wk default (can be raised after onboarding based on demand).
- Rates: Set per specialty and seniority; your specific rate will be confirmed in your offer.
- Start: rolling, after onboarding sign-off.
- Duration: ongoing, reviewed monthly.

Compensation & Benefits
- Rate: $130 - $180 per hour (hourly)
- Location: Remote (Canada, United States)
- Payments: Weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
