About this role

About the Role Medical Enabler at Roche is a purpose driven, experienced professional group focused on medical affairs. They serve as medical content experts in one or more therapeutic areas, build scientific partnerships with external partners, ensure access to products and clinical trials, and diligently address patient safety and the needs of healthcare professionals. They work with external partners and internal teams to identify unmet medical needs along the patient journey, aiming to deliver better outcomes for more patients faster.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with therapeutic area experts and other healthcare influencers.
  • Translate insights into strategic actionable recommendations for varied and broad stakeholder groups to impact the way we work and ensure we help deliver positive change in healthcare systems widely, e.g. nationally, beyond affiliates or globally, especially through co- creation.
  • Advise on, contribute to, or lead the strategic planning and drive the desired outcomes, taking into account patient needs, Taiwan uniqueness, business needs, resource requirements, regulatory and market access considerations. Think from an enterprise level, beyond boundaries and borders, in order to bring best possible outcomes to both the local health environment, and more broadly, across Roche globally.
  • Optimize clinical development throughout the product lifecycle to bring better treatment to patients.
  • Generate and communicate medical evidence that helps practitioners, patients and payers make good health care decisions.
  • Initiate and implement medical or innovative projects such as compassionate use programs, local access mechanisms to address access needs, or digital solutions.
  • Internalize the network way of working through transparent sharing of knowledge and resources to improve working effectiveness and create a bigger impact for the organizations.
  • Work in a self-managed team of peers and act as a coach or mentor to promote accountability and deliver solutions for the healthcare systems effectively.

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced clinical or science degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD, etc.
  • Working experience within the pharmaceutical industry; knowledge of the overall drug development process; experience in development and implementation of clinical trials; experience in data analysis, interpretation and clinical relevance; experience of writing clinical publications and delivering scientific presentations; relationships with external TAEs and other thought leaders strongly preferred.
  • Skills and knowledge: strategic thinking, leadership, analytical skills, results orientation, communication, interpersonal and networking skills, negotiation, presentation; knowledge of data analysis and statistics; knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas; ICH, GCP and local regulations; appreciation of diversity of multifunction teams; knowledge of drug discovery and commercialization processes; common computer skills; fluent English language knowledge, both written and verbal.
  • Competencies: be competent to work in the matrix organization, and deliver high standard work aligned with organizational needs and priorities; experience with internal and external engagement, creating best in class strategies to inform and lead the organization; ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Nice to Have

  • Relationships with external TAEs, other thought leaders, and external organizations strongly preferred.
