Manager (Peripheral) – Shockwave Medical to join our team. The position is fully remote and can sit anywhere in the US.

We are at the intersection of biology and technology, developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. We are pioneering the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment through differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview
-
The Manager, Medical Education is a high-visibility, customer-facing role within Shockwave Medical (SWAV), with the aim of developing and executing medical education and physician relations activities. The role has global responsibility, works across all lines of therapy, and reports to the Director of Medical Education. The incumbent will lead a growing effort to educate and train health care professionals on SWAV therapies. The individual should be skilled at coaching physicians in the development and delivery of scientific communications and peer-to-peer training. This role is core to physician relationship management at SWAV and will develop and maintain productive relationships with many Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and allied healthcare professionals.

Essential Job Functions
-
Develop, plan and execute Shockwave Medical-managed healthcare professional programs, identifying educational needs and developing programs and formats that meet customer and business needs.

Develop and maintain key relationships with healthcare professionals in the therapeutic area of focus.

Execute events, contract new speakers, maintain compliance standards, approve curriculum, document programs, and track activities.
-
Develop educational objectives and curricula for programs, including both CME and non-CME content.
-
May oversee execution of symposia, virtual or at-conference, including agenda design, content development, and physician speaker coaching.

Facilitate preparation of course curriculum, presentation materials and physician speaker coaching for podium presentations.

Contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of speaker’s bureau process and portal, and the development and maintenance of speaker slide decks and appropriate compliance/approvals.

Partner with meeting planners to coordinate seamless logistical execution.

Advise and consult with the field organization to uncover HCP learning needs and develop educational solutions.

Partner with medical societies and fellowship programs.
-
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapies, scientific literature, and products within focus areas.

Develop and maintain annual budgets.

Contribute to the annual Needs Assessment Process and maintain compliance and reporting standards in line with Shockwave Medical HCP education procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
-
6+ years of experience in education, training, sales or marketing in the medical technology space. Prior cardiovascular experience highly preferred.

Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.

Excellent critical thinking, influencing and negotiation skills.
-
Ability to operate in a cross-functional team and independently, with adaptability to changing requirements.

Demonstrated willingness to make decisions and take responsibility.
-
Effective written, verbal and presentation skills with all levels of management and organizations.
-
Proficiency in PowerPoint.
-
Previous experience in CVENT and/or Salesforce is a plus.
-
Ability to travel up to 40%.

Pay information
-
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $201,250.00. This position is eligible for the company’s long-term incentive program. The exact compensation will be determined by factors including experience, location, and internal equity.
