Job title: Medical Doctor
Overview
Okwara Clinic Foundation is seeking an experienced, qualified, and dedicated Medical Doctor to oversee the medical needs of patients and provide high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients’ medical conditions.
- Interpret tests, prescribe medications, and monitor treatment.
- Provide health education, preventive care, and follow-up.
- Recognize emergencies and arrange appropriate care or referrals.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and uphold safety, ethics, and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent recognized medical qualification.
- Current registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and a valid practising licence.
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
- Must have completed residency or recognized postgraduate training in Family Medicine/Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional clinical experience.
- Must be proficient in reading and interpreting ECG/EKG tracings.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-management skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, compassion, and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
