Medical Director – Endocrinology

About the Role As a Medical Director – Endocrinology at ICON, you will drive medical initiatives within project teams, shaping strategy and decision-making, and provide expert medical and scientific guidance. You will leverage therapeutic expertise in obesity studies to inform project development. What You'll Do

• Lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.
• Provide strategic medical leadership and guidance on project teams.
• Offer expert medical and scientific consultation throughout obesity project lifecycles.
• Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical and safety monitoring activities.
• Represent the Medical Affairs Department in business development initiatives.
• Provide operational oversight within the Medical Affairs Department as needed. What We're Looking For
• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Endocrinology.
• Experience with obesity studies is essential.
• Significant medical affairs experience with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.
• Proven track record of medical leadership and consultation within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the department effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to provide operational management in the absence of senior management.
