Visiting Physician Services (VPS) is a home‑based primary care practice dedicated to one mission: helping older adults stay safely and comfortably at home as they age. For over 30 years, we’ve delivered in‑home medical care as part of the Parker Advanced Care Institute at VNA Health Group. Our experienced team provides everything from routine visits to chronic care management, telehealth, diagnostics, and wound care — all in the comfort of the patient’s home. We take the stress out of traveling to appointments, ensuring expert care is always just a phone call away.
Position Summary:
We’re looking for an organized, customer‑focused team member to support our team as a Medical Biller. In this role, you'll be responsible for all billing of Medicare, Commercial insurance, and patients.
Principal Responsibilities:

- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

- Submits claims and posts payments on NextGen system in a timely manner

- Monitors, investigates, and resolves all rejected and delinquent claims

- Documents phone calls and other follow up activities on outstanding accounts

- Performs collection activities and coordinates accounts receivable in a logical and effective manner

- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma required

- 2-3 years work related experience

- Knowledge and understanding of revenue cycle management and accounts receivable

- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
