Presbyterian Medical Group’s Cedar Multispecialty Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant I to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support providers and the care team while helping deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, multispecialty outpatient clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
• Assists with procedures as determined by provider
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Basic foot care
• May perform regulatory audits as designated by the Clinic Manger
• Assists with visit closure
• Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner
• May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior Healthcare experience preferred
• Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced

Skills

• Training within 12 months of hire

• BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required

• Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS) Completes all Organizational, Department of Nursing and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe
