Job title: Medical Assistant - Oncology
About the Role Medical Assistant - Oncology functions as a member of the clinic patient care team, performing clinical tasks and procedures to support the delivery of care, and providing administrative support to the clinic.
What You'll Do
- Perform clinical tasks and procedures to support the delivery of care in the oncology clinic.
- Provide administrative support to the clinic as part of the patient care team.
- Demonstrate proficiency with a personal computer, software, and office equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with patients, interdepartmentally, and with the public.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and work with minimal supervision.
What We're Looking For
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or willing to obtain within 16 months of hire
- College-level education in secretarial sciences preferred
- Completion of basic medical terminology preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of recent medical assistant experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use a personal computer and various software programs; operation of office equipment
Nice to Have
- Oncology or ambulatory clinic experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $21.38 - $31.73 per hour (USD)
