About the Role The Medical Assistant supports the Medical Group Surgical Services at Glenbrook Hospital, providing clinical and front‑office support to ensure efficient patient care. This role helps greet patients, document vitals and medical information, and assist with basic procedures and patient flow. What You'll Do
- Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for the visit
- Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight
- Provide front office support as needed
- Phlebotomy and giving injections varies based on the specialty What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required
- Certification: CPR-BLS through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required
- Experience: One year of work experience required; previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) preferred
- On-the-job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience Nice to Have
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program (preferred)
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19.89 - $28.84 per hour
