Job title: Medical Assistant - Full Time

About the Role The Orthopedic Clinic Medical Assistant functions as a key member of the clinic patient care team, performing clinical tasks and procedures to support delivery of care, and providing administrative support to the clinic and Orthopedic service line.

What You'll Do

  • Perform clinical tasks and procedures to support delivery of care in the Orthopedic Clinic.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinic and Orthopedic service line.
  • Utilize a computer and software programs; operate standard office equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdepartmental teams.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance and professionalism in a fast-paced clinic environment.

What We're Looking For

  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or ability to obtain within 16 months of hire.
  • Casting and Splinting Certification within two years of employment.
  • College level education in secretarial sciences preferred.
  • Completion of basic medical terminology preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year recent medical assistant experience preferred.
  • Recent Orthopedic Clinic experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and office software; ability to operate office equipment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains confidentiality; able to communicate effectively in person or by telephone.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $21.38 - $31.73 USD
  • Full-time position
